MEET OUR TEAM

Hertz & Hertz Inc. was founded by Sam Hertz in 1959. Sam was a life agent in 1933 and brought his son Alan Hertz into the business during World War II. Alan focused on learning the property and casualty business and between he and his father built a sizable agency for all lines of insurance. This ranged from Home and Auto to Business, life and health products. They operated their agency in Chicago until 1973 when they moved to Homewood, IL.

In 1979 Alan's son Bob Hertz, joined the agency and became a Chartered Financial Consultant. Bob added a dimension to the agency that had not been provided in the past. He helps clients focus on safely accumulating assets to increase retirement income and provide security and a legacy for their families.

Alan and Bob aligned with Doerfler Insurance in 1992. This added additional benefits to their clientle and more diversity of companies to give them options in Life, Health, Business, and Benefits than they ever had before. They have expanded their offerings to include Long Term Care insurance which is an ever growing problem in our society.
